As a software engineer, you will be contributing to the development and maintenance of the user interface and the data processing system that brings carbon footprint estimations to our customers.
You will participate in the design and implementation of an architecture that can process, store, and deliver large amounts of data; optimized for speed and responsiveness; and that scales smoothly as we get more users. To help the rest of the back-end team, you will be setting up services that run machine learning models and other computations, and contribute to refining our DevOps pipeline for continuous delivery to our customers. In the front-end team you will be working on the constant iterative process of making a product that customers love and help them improve on the journey towards a more sustainable future. Enabling the users to actually take action is key to creating the impact we want to see in the world, and a large part of that is the front-end team’s responsibility.
Since we are a start-up, you will have autonomy and freedom to choose your own tools and workflow, with the potential to impact how our whole dev.team works.
Qualifications:
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a similar degree
- Familiar with Python or javascript programming language
- Proficient in written and spoken Norwegian and/or English
Knowledge in the fundamentals in computer networking and security, and cloud technology is appreciated but not strictly necessary.
